Gemma is responsible for the administration, publicity, finance and organisation of the IHR's events, seminar and research training programmes. Gemma also oversee's the School of Advanced Study's events programme, leading the Academic Engagement and Impact team.
Gemma joined the IHR in 2014 as the events and operations officer. Prior to this role, Gemma worked in the University of London Housing Office as the Services coordinator. Gemma received a BSc (Hons) in Geography from Royal Holloway in 2009 and a MSc in Geoarchaeology from the University of Reading in 2010. Gemma's research interests include Mid to Late Holocene climate and vegetation change in the wetlands of Ireland and the effects of climate change in the Late Holocene on the Wari (Huari) civilisation in Peru.
