Summary of research interests and expertise:

My work concerns the philosophy of speech: what does it mean that we are speaking beings? I address this topic across a range of philosophical and theoretical paradigms, research themes, projects and interests: 1. Post-Kantian German Philosophy (especially the thought of Ernst Bloch) 2. Philosophy of Language and Communication 3. Rhetoric (and its relation to philosophy) 4. Psychoanalysis and unconscious communication 5. Critical Theory 6. Anticipation, Futurity and Temporality 7. Dialogue 8. Process Philosophy 9. Philosophical Anthropology 10. Art Practice as Research and Participatory/Co-Created Research 11. Metaphysics 12. Orality and literacy 13. Sex Talk 14.
