Bio

Patricia is currently completing her PhD in Human Rights at the University of Deusto. Her dissertation deals with the role of tenure security in the process of local integration of internally displaced persons in urban areas. With a background in political science, peace and humanitarian studies, she has carried out research on armed conflicts, humanitarian emergencies, and peace processes in Sub-Saharan Africa at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and for international NGOs such as Doctors Without Borders. Her main areas of interest are forced migration, local integration, durable solutions, informal housing rights and tenure security.
