Profile
Emma is a social anthropologist based at the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography; Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS), University of Oxford. She is researching the strategies and experiences of people displaced by the violence in Donbas, Eastern Ukraine. She spent a year conducting ethnographic fieldwork among Donbas migrants in Ukraine and Russia, exploring their adaptations to displacement and reactions to state policies. Her other research interests include labour relations, trade unions, and politics in the post-socialist space.
