Project summary:
The modern Commonwealth has been notoriously bad at recording its own history. The ICS is working on a large scale oral history project which involves interviewing prominent members of the modern Commonwealth from 1965. The project will cover the major figures and events of the last forty years, through a focus on the period in office of successive Secretary Generals. Over the course of the research there will be a range of events and resources, including witness seminars, conferences and digitalisation.
