I am a historian of archaeology, focusing on the social history of archaeology in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This research focus includes the history of museums and collections, popular publishing, and historic film footage. My current project, Beyond Notability: Re-Evaluating the history of women's work in archaeology, history, and heritage in Britain 1870-1950, combines in-depth archival research, cataloguing and linked open data methodology to enable new micro- and macro-analyses of the impact of women in museums and archaeological sites, the historic environment and the creation of history.
